Admitted to practice in 1995, Rob is a former Legal Associate to the Chief Judge of the Family Court of WA. Rob commenced practice in his own right in 2003, when he established Crossing Family Lawyers.

He has a diverse practice, with particular interest in farming cases, property settlements, financial agreements and issues relating to children.

Rob has been a member of the Committee of the Family Law Practitioners' Association of WA (“FLPA”), and was Secretary of FLPA for 4 years until he stood down at the end of 2004. He is a member of the Council of Collaborative Professionals WA and has also served on FLPA's Law Reform Sub-Committee. Rob is also a member of the Law Society of WA and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

He is a former member of the Medical and Bioethical Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia.

 

Johanna Overmars
Solicitor

Johanna graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 2003 with degrees in Law and Arts.

Prior to joining Crossing Family Lawyers, Johanna was the Legal Associate to the Judges of the Family Court of WA and practised at Legal Aid WA in the areas of family and criminal law.

Johanna studies natural horsemanship and is a member of a horse rescue organisation. When not practising law she volunteers her time to assist people with natural methods of training their horses and dogs and assisting with healing and re-homing of rescued horses.

 

 

Judith Quinlivan

Before beginning her legal career, Judith traveled, obtained an Arts degree and worked for a federal politician.

Judith graduated in law from ANU in 1992.  Since then she has practised law in a range of areas in both private practice and in the public sector. 

She worked exclusively in employment and equal opportunity law for a number of years appearing on a regular basis as counsel in various courts and tribunals.

More recently she has worked at Legal Aid as a senior solicitor supervising junior practitioners primarily in family law, but also in the civil and criminal jurisdictions.

 

Amy ParkerAmy Parker
Receptionist and Legal Secretary
 
Amy joined Crossing Family Lawyers June 2007, having previously worked in a variety of roles within law firms and other offices.

She is currently studying Certificate 4 in Legal Studies at Central TAFE and will be going on to complete her diploma.

Amy enjoys reading, dinner with friends and going to the movies. She supports two AFL teams - the Dockers and whoever is playing the Eagles.
